Standard operating procedure
The questions we get most, answered without the runaround.
01 Can you stamp my exact unit?
Yes. Type it the way your unit says it out loud — 2/5 Marines, 1st Ranger Bn, USS Cole, 10th SFG(A) — and we stamp exactly that. Battalions, ships, squadrons, detachments, and units that were redesignated all work. If it fits in 22 characters, we can print it.
02 What if I don't remember my MOS code?
Leave the MOS field empty — it's optional and the piece looks right without it. Your DD-214 lists it in block 11 if you want to check. Rates and AFSCs work in that field too.
03 How long until it ships?
Standard issue leaves within three business days. Unit Builder pieces are made to order, so allow five to seven business days before it ships. Embroidered hoodies and caps in a numbered run can take up to ten. You get tracking the moment it moves.
04 Do you print active-duty units?
We do. Active duty, Guard, and Reserve all order here. We print unit designations and MOS codes only — we don't reproduce official DoD seals or service marks, and we won't print anything that misrepresents rank or awards.
05 What happens if it comes out wrong?
If we stamped it wrong, we reprint it and cover the shipping both ways — no questions. If you typed it wrong, email us within 24 hours of ordering and we'll fix the file before it hits the press. Unworn standard-issue items return within 30 days.
06 Does buying here help with my claim?
No — buying a shirt has no bearing on a VA rating, and anyone who tells you otherwise is selling something. This shop exists so veterans can wear the unit they served in, not to influence a claim. If you need evidence for your own claim, that's a separate conversation — start at sgtcare.com.
